Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a system where people buy a "share" of a local farm's harvest in advance. The money helps the farmer buy seeds and tools before the season starts. In return, the farmer gives members a scheduled box of fresh, seasonal food all summer or fall.

How the Process Works

Buy upfront: Members pay the farmer a set price before the growing season begins.
Share the risk: If the weather is bad and crops fail, members get less food. If the weather is great, everyone gets extra food.
Get scheduled boxes: Members pick up or get a delivery of fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, or meat on a regular schedule.

Pick your rhythm. Smaller boxes every two weeks, or a big box once a month.
Tell us what not to send. Skip a whole category, and name up to five things you never want.
We pack to the season. Every box is a mix of meat, eggs, produce, baking, frozen and preserves.

Both options come to the same $1,020 for the six months, delivery included. The dollar figures beside each category are what a typical box looks like — the exact mix moves with the harvest, the freezer and your preferences.
